Power has been restored to Bluegrass Splash Family Aquatic Center, Tie Breaker Park ballfields, and the Planters Bank-Jennie Stuart Health Sportsplex.
As such, Bluegrass Splash reopened Wednesday morning — thanks to the efforts of Pennyrile
Electric, Hopkinsville Electric System (HES), and city and county workers. Officials spent Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning running safety checks and water tests to ensure a smooth re-opening.
Limited concessions are available at both Bluegrass Splash and Tie Breaker Park, due to the loss of refrigeration during the outage.
A restocking order will be placed to bring the concession stand menu back to full capacity.
Parks & Recreation staff and leaders want to extend their gratitude to Pennyrile Electric, Hopkinsville Electric System (HES), and workers who have been tirelessly working throughout the weekend to restore power and bring community back to normalcy.
