Pennyrile Electric is making significant progress in restoring power, starting Thursday with just over 5,000 members without electricity.
This marks a substantial improvement from over 28,000 members who experienced outages beginning Sunday. The largest outage remains in Trigg County, where nearly 2,000 members are still without service. Christian County follows with just under 1,000 members affected, while Muhlenberg County has around 800 members without power. Todd County reports fewer than 250 outages. Additionally, Caldwell and Lyon counties together account for just under 450 members without electricity.
Over the past two days, Pennyrile Electric has mobilized over 400 workers to restore power across their service area, surpassing the workforce deployed during the 2009 Ice Storm.
