Trigg County CAIP Information Meetings Thursday And Friday

The Trigg County Conservation District is partnering with Trigg County Extension to host two informational meetings for farmers interested in applying for the County Ag Investment Program, better known as CAIP.

CAIP (as in Cape) is a cost share program for agricultural improvements up to $5,000 per producer or farmer that is funded through Kentucky Agriculture Development Program. Conservation

According to Sherry Walker with the Trigg County Conservation District there will be two informational meetings at the Trigg County Recreation Complex Convention Center this week. The meetings will take place Thursday night at 5:30 and Friday morning at 8:00.

The Kentucky Office of Ag Policy mandates that an education session must be completed before those applying for CAIP can receive a payment. There are 11 investment areas that a farmer or producer can apply for.

Trigg County CAIP applications can be picked up beginning Monday, June 3rd, at the Trigg County Conservation District office. The deadline to apply in Trigg County is Friday, June 21st.
