Law enforcement has released the name of a Bowling Green man who was severely injured in a wreck on Ovil Road near the intersection of Greenville Road Friday morning.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say a motorcycle driven by David Ehlschide was eastbound when it collided with a deer in the road causing the motorcycle to slide on its side down the road approximately 100 feet.
Ehlschide was transported by EMS to a waiting helicopter that flew him to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for severe head, chest, and leg injuries.
Ehlschide remains in critical but stable condition.
Deputies say the crash is still under investigation but Ehlschide was found to not have a license and the license plate on the bike had not been registered in several years.
