A Hopkinsville man was charged with assaulting a man on Butler Road Thursday night.
Hopkinsville Police say 30-year-old Rick Romig punched a man and then hit him with some kind of object during a fight after the victim had dropped a woman off at his house.
Romig was arrested and charged with second-degree assault.
