A trail of members passed through the Pennyrile Electric Cadiz location on Monday as the cooperative kicked off its annual Member appreciation events.
Pennyrile Electric’s Vice-President of Member Services Brent Gilkey told the News Edge more than 500 members had passed through the gates before midday, Monday.

Hopkinsville Electric System staff members were also on hand to greet cooperative members and discuss their high-speed internet. Lynn Clark says they enjoy partnering with Pennyrile Electric during customer appreciation days to spread the message about HES’s Energy Net service.

click to download audioThe customer appreciation events take the place of the Pennyrile Electric annual meeting that was traditionally held for many years at the Western Kentucky State Fair. The annual meeting will be held at the Pennyrile Electric main office in Hopkinsville later this month. Tuesday, June 25th, is still Pennyrile Electric Day at the Western Kentucky State Fair, with free admission for all Pennyrile Electric members to the fair that day.
