Cadiz Public Works Continuing Extensive Storm Debris Cleanup Effort

The Cadiz Public Works Department is continuing to make progress in cleaning up debris left behind by severe storms that hit Western Kentucky during the Memorial Day weekend.

Cadiz Mayor Todd King says the public works department and some employees of the Cadiz Water Department are making their way through the city to pick up trees, limbs, and other debris left behind after the storms.

Mayor King says it will take several more weeks to finish the cleanup.

click to download audioAlthough damage in the city was widespread the majority of the debris is on the south side of U. S. 68 along Nunn, Hospital, and surrounding streets.
