As they get ready for their second full season as a KHSAA member, the Heritage Christian Academy Warriors took some time this week to get in some summer basketball action. With the dead period looming less than two weeks away, the Warriors got in a couple of games this week.
On Monday, the Warriors matched up against Houston County. Houston County came away with the win 53-36.
Tuesday saw the Warriors get a game against Montgomery Central. This time the day belonged to HCA as the Warriors took a big 50-24 win.
The Warriors’ JV squad also got in a couple of games. The JV group beat Houston County on Monday and picked up a second win Tuesday night over Stewart County.
The Warriors are coming off a 16-15 season that included their first-ever win in 8th District tournament play.
HCA is set to return three of its top five scorers from last season in Jason Leek, Laytno Giltner, and Cash Bolinger. Leek was among the top scorers in the state in 2023-2024.
