City of Cadiz officials conducted three interviews for their open “On Main” director position Friday night — but in the end, came to a familiar conclusion.

Effective Monday, Brianna Hyde is returning to the post.

Six weeks ago, she resigned from the spot — citing a number of constraints on the job — and in her stead, Livingston County’s Heather Armbruster was hired.

However, Armbruster resigned less than a month after being announced.

In a statement to the News Edge, Hyde said she was “passionate about Cadiz” because it’s home for her and her family, and that the outpouring of love and support when she left mattered.

She said she is looking forward to getting things back on track for the 48th Trigg County Country Ham Festival, and she’s excited to once again “share her love for Cadiz and creativity with the community.”

But she also noted it’s not always easy “having a job in the public eye,” but she loves Cadiz so much, and she “truly sees some great things for downtown and beyond.”

Mayor Todd King said he’s “thrilled” she wanted to return.
