Hopkinsville-Christian County Chamber of Commerce President Taylor Hayes said last week’s 135th annual dinner was a chance for business, industry, education, and the community to meet, share, and prepare for an ever-evolving future.

Hayes said the crowd at the James Bruce Convention Center was larger than last year.

Renee Shaw, moderator of Kentucky Tonight on Kentucky Educational Television, not only was the guest speaker for the dinner, but she also set up shop in downtown Hopkinsville for three days to film segments for her show Kentucky Tonight.

Last Wednesday, a taping of Kentucky Tonight was held at the Alhambra Theatre with a special list of invited guests.

The episodes of Kentucky Tonight from the Alhambra will air Monday night (6/24) at 7:00 with additional airings Tuesday morning at 7:00 and Tuesday at noon as well as Tuesday night at 7:30.

Hayes said Shaw came away impressed with Hopkinsville and Christian County.

Hayes also had his own message for those at the annual dinner.

Hayes said the chamber has big plans for the rest of 2024 and 2025 with those announcements coming at a later time.
