Kathy L. Beliles age 61, of Hopkinsville, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Fla, from a bicycle accident in Gulf Shores, Ala. while on vacation. The family has chosen cremation with a celebration of life to be held at Edgewood Baptist Church on June 28, 2024, at 1:00 PM with entombment to follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-West. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Friday, June 28, 2024, at Edgewood Baptist Church. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family with the care of their loved one.
Mrs. Beliles was born on July 18, 1962, in Lebanon, TN, the daughter of the late Ben and Wilma Louise Murphy Marks, Jr. She grew up in Lebanon, TN and graduated from Lebanon High School in 1980 and pursued a degree in accounting from MTSU and Florida State University. She was employed by West Kentucky Automotive where she served as the Office Manager. She was a faithful member of Edgewood Baptist Church where she was involved in the Joyful Seekers Sunday School Class, Salvation Army, Sanctuary House, American Veterans Center, and AWANAs. Kathy’s compassion and kindness were shown to everyone who knew her. She was a very selfless lady who always put herself last.
Kathy had a particular love of the outdoors and she and her husband camped across the country hiking, kayaking, and biking along the way.
Survivors include her husband of 30 Years, Billy J. Beliles of Hopkinsville, Her brother, Larry Marks (Teresa) of Lynnville, TN; her niece, Jennifer Lynn Marks; her brother-in-law, Larry G. Beliles of Heiskell, TN, and many cousins.
