Name Released In Hopkinsville Police Pursuit

Details were released about a pursuit that started on Hammond Drive in Hopkinsville and ended on Segler Drive in Oak Grove Monday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say they attempted to stop a vehicle for speeding and the driver 19-year-old Martavious Reed of Clarksville fled at speeds of over 100 mph on Fort Campbell Boulevard, cut off other drivers, and failed to stop at stop lights while fleeing.

The pursuit reportedly came to an end after he hit two vehicles on Segler Drive and his tire came off and hit a third vehicle.

The driver of one of the cars 27-year-old Tara Ramirez of Jacksonville, Florida was taken by ambulance to Tennova Healthcare to be checked out. Police say the car Reed was driving was reported stolen and a large amount of marijuana was found inside it.

Reed was arrested and charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police, trafficking marijuana, speeding, theft by unlawful taking, first-degree criminal mischief, leaving the scene of an accident, reckless driving, and several counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.
