A Hopkinsville man was charged with trafficking drugs after a traffic stop on Short 19th Street Wednesday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say they stopped 23-year-old Jacob Williams due to him having an outstanding warrant for failure to appear and during the stop he was found to have a handgun in his waistband.
After a search of his vehicle, 14 grams of marijuana, 24 grams of meth, 23 grams of a crystal substance, an amphetamine pill, a shotgun, and over $1000 in cash were reportedly found.
He was arrested and charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified), trafficking marijuana, trafficking meth, and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
