Christian County Farm Bureau Recognizes Two Legacy Farms

Two well-known names in Christian County agriculture were saluted with the Kentucky Farm Bureau Legacy Farm honor Thursday night during the Christian County Farm Bureau annual meeting at the Western Kentucky State Fair.

Kentucky Farm Bureau Second District Director Mary Kate Kordis and county President Greg Campbell presented Legacy Farm awards to Haile Farms and Hancock-Sholar Farms.

Kordis said Haile Farms have a unique history in the county.

click to download audioIn the Outstanding Farm Bureau Youth competition Mollie Goode won first place in the female category, with Cheyanne Rodgers taking second, and Lynslee Cansler earning the third place spot. In the male category Brant Cansler took first and Caleb Luttrell earned second.

In the variety show Adalyn Isom won by singing and playing on the guitar the song “Blue” on stage.

The Farm Bureau membership voted to approve the resolutions for the year that were submitted by board member Wesley Parker.

And Farm Bureau members re-elected nine board members to serve another term on the county board of directors.
