On the heels of good news from the state regarding tourism spending in Christian County in 2023, Amy Rogers, the executive director of the Hopkinsville-Christian County Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, pulled back the curtain of its operation to the Hopkinsville Rotary Club Tuesday.
Rogers, who was named to head the CVB in March, said the city continues to market itself as the ‘Batter Capital of the World’ because of local companies with a long tradition of producing batters for baked goods like cakes and cookies.

click to download audioRogers said Christian County ranks ninth out of 120 counties in tourism spending, bringing in a record $239.1 million in 2023, which was up nearly $2 million from the previous year. The tourism industry in Christian County created over 1,800 new jobs countywide, also an increase from 2022.
