In June, Kentucky saw a net increase in voter registrations, with 9,693 new voters added and 4,362 removed, according to the Secretary of State’s Office.

Of those removed, 3,030 were deceased, 603 were felons, and 554 had moved out of state.

Republican registrations rose by 4,947 (0.31%), while Democratic registrations fell by 1,717 (0.11%). Third-party and other affiliations increased by 1,502 (0.41%).

Secretary of State Michael Adams reaffirmed his commitment to defending Kentucky’s bipartisan election integrity statute, which aims to prevent dual-state voting. This comes as Kentuckians for the Commonwealth challenge the law in court. “We believe voters should vote in only one state, and we expect to prevail in court,” Adams stated.
