Officials with Ascend Elements will host a job fair at Hopkinsville Community College Tuesday, July 16, in partnership with the West Kentucky Workforce Board.
The electric vehicle battery materials manufacturer, located in Commerce Park II, currently has 70-plus open positions at its new John Rivers Road campus.
Eventually, the company plans to employ up to 400 people in the area.
At present, they are seeking chemical operators, analytical lab technicians, logistics, engineering personnel and security guards to join what is a fast-growing team.
From 11 AM until 4 PM that Tuesday, visitors should bring resumes to the HCC Emerging Technology Center on 720 North Drive, in order to meet with hiring managers and leaders.
Computers will be available to submit an application at the event, and those interested can also apply early at ascendelements.com/careers.
The Hopkinsville property is North America’s first cathode precursor (pCAM) EV battery materials manufacturing plant. And until now, EV battery pCAM and CAM materials have been almost exclusively made in China.
