Two Charged With Driving Recklessly In A Parking Lot With A Gun

Two men were charged after they were reportedly driving recklessly and pointing a gun out a window near Hammond Plaza Sunday morning.

Hopkinsville Police say 25-year-old Keonte Lamar was driving recklessly and doing donuts in the parking lot while he and his passenger 36-year-old Keandre McCarley pointed a gun out the window.
Lamar reportedly tried to flee in the car cutting in between other vehicles when law enforcement arrived but was quickly stopped. He was found to have an expired license, no registration plate, and no insurance on the vehicle.

Lamar was arrested and charged with reckless driving, first-degree fleeing or evading police, driving on an expired license, no registration plates, failure to maintain required insurance, and first-degree wanton endangerment.

McCarley was also arrested and charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and first-degree wanton endangerment.
