GOOD NEWS — Trigg County’s Kara Allen Named Kentucky Colonel

Trigg Countian and Cadiz Rotarian Kara Allen received a surprise Tuesday afternoon, when she was presented with the honor of Kentucky Colonel under recommendation from George Radford.

Upon her return to the area, she immediately sought ways to be involved in the community — including not just the Rotary Club, but the Trigg County Chamber of Commerce, the Trigg County Senior Center, and other related activities.

An employee of Trigg County Hospital, she brings a bright smile to everything she does.

An honorary and prestigious designation bestowed by the Governor of Kentucky, Colonels can be found in diverse fields like business, public service, arts and philanthropy. They serve as goodwill ambassadors of the Commonwealth, and it’s a title that dates back to the 19th century as one of the state’s highest honors for its citizens.
