Woman Charged With Wanton Endangerment After Traffic Stop

A Flowood, Mississippi, woman was charged with DUI and wanton endangerment after a traffic stop on Pennyrile Parkway in Christian County Sunday night.

Kentucky State Police say they stopped 29-year-old Ashley Martin for going 40 mph over the speed limit and during the stop, they could smell the odor of alcohol coming from her.

Police say she admitted to drinking three beers and a shot before driving and that she was unsteady on her feet and almost fell over while conducting a field sobriety test.

A juvenile was in the vehicle at the time of the stop. Martin was arrested and charged with speeding, reckless driving, failure to produce an insurance card, DUI, first-degree wanton endangerment, and failure to maintain required insurance.
