A house fire on Beach Bend Drive in Trigg County injured two people and killed the family’s pets Monday morning.
East Golden Pond Firefighters say the home was fully engulfed in flames when they arrived but two people living in the home were able to get out of the house but were taken by ambulance to the hospital for injuries.
At least two dogs in the home were killed in the fire and firefighters say the home is a total loss.
Firefighters say the extent of the injuries suffered by the family was unknown.
The cause of the fire has not been determined.
