Mae Belle Wyatt, 79, of Hopkinsville, died at 10:53 p.m., Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, July 18, 2024, at Second Baptist Church with David Smith and Rev. Hunter Hanson officiating. Burial will follow in Flat Lick Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at Second Baptist Church.
A native of Trigg County, Kentucky she was the daughter of the late Henry Burnette Wyatt and Mary Ethel Pepper Wyatt.
Mae Belle was a proud graduate of Hopkinsville High School class of 1963. She was a longtime resident of “Westside” Hopkinsville and a member of Second Baptist Church for many years.
She worked for many years in the toy department of Cayce Yost Company and later was a teacher’s aide in several of the local elementary schools. She loved working with children and served as director/teacher of the 4th grade Sunday School department at Second Baptist Church for over 35 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved dogs, Casey, Jack, and Tucker. She is survived by Boyce Ezell of Herndon, KY, and Rachel (Joe) Barner of Hopkinsville, KY along with many cousins she dearly loved and countless friends.
