Man Charged With Drug Possession In Hopkinsville

A Christian County man was charged with possession of drugs after a report of a disturbance on Kelby Court in Hopkinsville Friday morning.

Hopkinsville Police say they found 33-year-old Dedrick Brodie in a vehicle with the smell of marijuana coming from it after being called to his home for a disturbance between him and a woman.

He reportedly admitted to smoking a joint and was found to have pills and a bag of a powder substance.

He was arrested and charged with public intoxication, alcohol intoxication in a public place, tampering with physical evidence, possession of cocaine, and first-degree possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified).
