SOS Blood Drive Continues on Wednesday and Thursday

The Western Kentucky Regional Blood Center is hosting its annual SOS blood drive this week to replenish its supplies for hospitals in the region.

SOS stands for Save Our Summer, a time when blood supply is crucial due to an increase in needed blood due to accidents, crashes, and other events requiring hospitalization.

Robin Shively with the blood center said every pint of blood donated stays in western Kentucky.
