Ann Eaker, 88, of Hopkinsville, passed away July 16, 2024, at her home, of natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM Monday, July 22, 2024, at Henderson Memorial Baptist Church with Brother Ron Hicks officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 11:00 PM until 1:00 PM on Monday, July 22, 2024, at Henderson Memorial Baptist Church. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Mrs. Eaker was born on November 15, 1935, in Lynn Grove, KY, the daughter of the late Burie and Ethel Rogers Miller. Ann was a librarian at Indian Hills Elementary School for over 40 years and a Henderson Memorial Baptist Church member for 55 years. She was a Sunday School teacher at Pennyrile Personal Care Home for over 30 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Eaker; her grandchildren, Damon Eaker, Devin Eaker, and Hope Eaker; her brothers, Dan Miller and James Miller; and her sisters, Emily Cunningham, Martha Shumaker, Mary Rousseau, Lourell Smith, Evelyn Scott, and Reba Fain.
Survivors include her sons, Don Eaker (Tinde) of Clarksville, TN, and Bill Eaker (Pam) of Dexter, KY; her daughter, Leigh Eaker Truett (Peco) of Pembroke, KY; her brother, Ferrell Miller of KY; her sisters, Sonya Futrell of TN, and Janice Adams of KY; her five grandchildren, Lauren Eaker, Susianne Eaker, Zac Eaker, Michaela Whittington, and Michael Truett; two great-grandchildren, Max Eaker Henderson, and Olivia Whittington.
The family requests that contributions be made to Pennyroyal Hospice at 220 Burley Avenue, Hopkinsville, KY 42240 instead of flowers.
