Rosetta Merriweather Haskins, 83, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, in Virginia Beach, Va.
Rosetta, the daughter of the late Isaac and Minnie Merriweather, was born on September 1, 1940, in Christian County. She was employed with the Environmental Service Department at Jennie Stuart Medical Center.
Rosetta was a member of Durrett Avenue Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, shopping, and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Haskins; son, William Wilford; sisters, Parthenia Dobbins and Bessie Mae Turner; brother, Paul Thomas.
Survivors include her children, Min. James (Louvenia) Wilford, Rosa (Joe) None, Debra White, Patricia (Carroll) Goodwyn, Melinda Wilford, Isaac Wilford, Minnie Glover, Jeffrey Wilford, Paulette (Carl, Jr.) Burnett; sister, Norine Mumford; 32 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; a host of great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Gamble Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Services will be on Saturday, July 20 at noon at the Durrett Avenue Baptist Church.
Burial will follow in the Cave Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will begin Saturday morning at 11:00 at the church.
