Man And Woman Charged With Endangering The Welfare Of Minors

A Hopkinsville man and woman were charged with several counts of endangering the welfare of a minor after a child was found in a parking lot on North Drive Wednesday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say they were called for a 2-year-old that was found in a parking lot and witnesses followed the child to Grays Court where three other children were located.

The children reportedly found at the home were ages 11, 5, and 1 years old.

Police say the 11-year-old stated their parents 32-year-old Robert Laplante and 23-year-old Racheal Overton were at work and he didn’t have a phone to call them.

Overton and Laplante were both arrested and charged with four counts of endangering the welfare of a minor.
