Patricia Daniels, of Hopkinsville, was indicted on charges of first-degree criminal abuse, and two counts of first-degree criminal abuse of a child 12 or under.

The charges stem from June 3rd when Hopkinsville police say a 2-year-old child was found walking alone on Denzil Drive. Police said the mother was found two hours later and the Kentucky Department of Community-Based Services launched an investigation. During the investigation, police said they found floors in the home falling in, animal feces, roaches, spoiled diapers, and dirty clothes, with little to no food found inside the home. Daniels’ three children were taken into state custody.

A true bill was returned on Alex Settles, of Hopkinsville, on charges of burglary, robbery, strangulation, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, wanton endangerment, assault, two counts of bribery and four counts of terroristic threatening.

The charges stem from May 1st when Hopkinsville Police say Settles entered a home on Means Avenue and assaulted and choked his juvenile daughter and took her phone. When the child’s mother broke up the fight, Settles allegedly threatened to kill everyone in the home and went to his vehicle to retrieve a gun and pointed it at one of them.

Police said as Settles was being booked into the Christian County Jail he sent text messages to his daughter offering her money to claim he didn’t choke her.

Tyler is accused of fleeing from police when they attempted to make a traffic stop on Pyle Lane on June 1, which led to a pursuit. Hopkinsville Police said Tyler reached speeds of 90 mph before crashing into an embankment at the intersection of Cox Mill Road and Pyle Lane. Police also reported that the vehicle Tyler was driving had been reported stolen.

On April 20, Hawkins is accused of forcing his way into a home on Springmont Drive after the owner opened the door.
