Local McDonald’s Crew Members Compete for Top Honors in All-American Crew Competition

More than 50 crew members from 13 locally-owned McDonald’s restaurants gathered on Wednesday for an intense competition, vying for the title of best-of-the-best in key restaurant positions during the McDonald’s All-American Crew Competition in Owensboro.

According to Public Relations and Communications Manager Amanda Campbell, second-generation McDonald’s Owner-Operator Chris McEnaney hosted the competition at his Parrish Avenue restaurant. Top performers from the family’s restaurants in Owensboro, Princeton, Madisonville, Hopkinsville, Eddyville, Marion, and Providence were selected to compete for cash prizes and major bragging rights.

McEnaney stated in a release that McDonald’s is continually looking for ways to improve their operations and develop future leaders within the organization. He mentioned that the All-American Crew Competition was an unforgettable event that showcased their dedication to their employees and excellence in their restaurants. McEnaney expressed immense pride in the commitment demonstrated by every crew member who participated.

Four teams of 13 crew members each competed for the title of top performer in the categories of grill, fried products, initiator, assembly, French fries, drive-thru order taking, drive-thru cashier, drive-thru presentation, drive-thru runner, digital/delivery, front counter, table service/curbside, and lobby. Judges from the McDonald’s corporation, Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Ohio Valley, Martin Brower Distribution, and leaders from neighboring McDonald’s organizations graded competitors on their performance in several key areas for each position.

Gold, silver, bronze, and honorable mention recognitions were awarded to individual crew members for each position. Teams were ranked based on the number of golds received, with the standings as follows:

– 1st Place: Grimace’s Gremlins, led by Supervisor Conner McEnaney
– 2nd Place: The McOriginals, led by Supervisor Stephanie Maness
– 3rd Place: Tie – Team Mac Pack, led by Supervisor Kelly Kortz and Team Prestige, led by Supervisor Michelle Brennan
