The Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County and the Human Rights Commission are inviting the public to join The Supper Club: Inspiring Cultural & Culinary Conversations.
It’s an open group that explores the diversity and history of the community through food, and the club is open to anyone who loves food, conversation and learning about other cultures.
The Supper Club’s next meeting will be held at 6 PM Thursday, August 8 at the Pioneers Memorial Complex (904 N. Main Street).
This month’s program features community favorites prepared by the catering team from Pioneers, Inc. Organized in 1952, this men’s civic organization works for the betterment of the community by stimulating, promoting and advancing social, cultural and civic awareness and involvement in Hopkinsville and Christian County.
With focuses on educational empowerment, employment directives, political follow-through and industrial development, the group continues to serve as a positive influence in the community.
The group will share more about their organization while attendees get to sample barbecue, burgoo and sweet tea.
The cost to attend is $10 per person.
Dates for upcoming Supper Club gatherings will be October 10 and December 12. These programs will be held at 6 PM in the Pennyroyal Area Museum.
