A Hopkinsville woman was charged with criminal abuse after an investigation into symptoms her child had at the hospital Saturday night.
Hopkinsville Police say a 20-month-old child was brought to the hospital with symptoms of an overdose and after running tests, the mother 25-year-old Jasmine Bartolo was taken into custody.
After a search of her home, police say marijuana, a gun, and fentanyl were found. Police also found four other children in the home.
Police say the child was transferred to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville for treatment.
Bartolo was charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree criminal abuse, trafficking fentanyl, and possession of marijuana.
