The annual Back2Back Foundation, Brice Long & Friends benefit concert on Saturday night exceeded expectations, raising a total of $107,750.
Celebrating its 20th year, the event featured a special performance by country band McBride & The Ride at the Alhambra Theatre, which was packed for the occasion.
Pennyroyal Arts Council Director, Margaret Prim, announced that the theatre’s Green Room had been named in honor of Long and his foundation. Long also invited Brittanie Bogard onstage to share her testimony about the foundation’s impact on her life. Bogard, who received support during a difficult time, has since turned her life around and was surprised with a check for her organization, ‘Teen Talk.’
The concert opened with an acoustic set by Brice Long and concluded with McBride & The Ride performing 90’s country hits. Long expressed his excitement about the event, stating, “It’s been amazing what we have been able to accomplish in 20 years.”
Funds were raised through sponsors, a silent auction, ticket sales, and donations. Proceeds will support the Back2Back Foundation’s Christmas project and local organizations in Christian, Trigg, and Todd counties.
Last year, the foundation helped over 130 families during Christmas and supported several families facing financial hardship and tragic events throughout the year. This year, the foundation supported numerous local organizations, including Grace & Mercy, Redeemed & Restored, Sanctuary House, and many others. Brice Long and the Back2Back Foundation extended their gratitude to everyone who has contributed over the past 20 years, making this year another phenomenal success.
