Christian County’s young golf team opened the 2024 season with a 14th-place finish at Monday’s Henderson County Invitational at the Henderson Country Club.
Drew Fincham led the Colonels with a round of 87. He started with three pars and finished with three pars.
Tay Martinez shot a 98, followed by Jaedon McMillian’s 108, Peyton Hilton’s 109, and a 116 by Chris Adcock. Hilton and Adcock were playing in their first 18-hole event for the Colonels.
Hancock County’s Dec Lewko was the lone golfer to finish under par with a round of 69, helping the Hornets to a second-place team finish.
Owensboro shot a 306 to win the team title with Madisonville third at 320.
