Man Charged With DUI And Drug Possession

A Hopkinsville man was charged with possession of drugs and DUI after a traffic stop on West 7th Street Saturday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say they stopped 49-year-old Tony Snyder for not wearing a seat belt and during the stop, they could smell the odor of alcohol.

After a search of his vehicle, synthetic marijuana and a white substance consistent with crack cocaine were reportedly found.

He was arrested and charged with failure to wear seat belts, DUI second, first-degree possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified), possession of synthetic drugs, and tampering with physical evidence.
