Playing on her home course, Trigg County’s Emma Dowell shot a career-best score of 85 to finish tied for 8th place at Wednesday’s Trigg County Invitational at Boots Randolph Golf Course.
Dowell shot a 4-over par 40 and came in with a 45. While her round didn’t feature any scores in the red, she had eight pars and seven bogeys.
Hickman County’s Katie Abernathy shot a 1-under 70 to win the individual title. University Heights Academy senior Conlee Lindsey was second with a round of 72.
Dowell knocked six shots off her Tuesday score at the Marshall County Invitational.
