Sisters Alayna and Braelyn Windle recently had a great chance to compete with the best young bowlers from across the country. The two Heritage Christian Academy bowlers were in the Detroit area to compete in the United States Bowling Congress Junior Gold Championships, which ran from July 12 through July 20.
Competing in the U12 Girls Division, Braelyn finished 32nd out of 117 bowlers.
Alayna rolled in the U15 Girls Division and finished 127th out of 130 bowlers.
Alayna and Braelyn, who are among the top up-and-coming bowlers in the area, were a part of the first-year program at Heritage Christian during the 2023-2024 school year.
The Junior Gold Championships is an annual national tournament for the top male and female youth bowlers in the United States. The tournament has six divisions – U12 Boys, U12 Girls, U15 Boys, U15 Girls, U18 Boys, U18 Girls.
