There will be no services at this time for 73-year-old Robert “Bob” Dean Peak, of Cadiz, and a native of Evansville, Indiana.

Goodwin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include:
Wife of 49 years, Judith “Judy” (Utley) Peak, of Cadiz;
Two brothers, Mike Peak (Laurie), of Florida, and Tim Peak (Teri), of Evansville, Indiana;
Two sisters, Debbie Geary (Clifford), of Evansville, Indiana, and Lisa Peak, of Georgia.

He died at 5:43 PM, Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at Tri Star Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

He was born July 13, 1951, in Evansville, Indiana, the son of late George and Norma (Vowells) Peak.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by two sisters.

A dedicated and passionate educator, Bob retired from Evansville’s Plaza Park School where for 35 years, he enlightened young minds in the subjects of science and math.

Alongside Judy, he became a steward of nature, dedicating 35 years to the care and maintenance of 173 Eastern Bluebird nesting boxes in the Land Between the Lakes (LBL), and an additional 60 at Lake Barkley State Resort Park.

In 2013, the two moved to Cadiz, a decision that brought them closer to their beloved bluebird trails and allowed them to more conveniently continue their volunteer work. He also enjoyed gardening, creating in his own backyard a natural habitat for the various wildlife that visited their home.
