In a very tough field, loaded with some of the best girls’ golf talent in the state, University Heights Academy’s Conlee Lindsey had a very solid day Monday, picking up a Top 15 finish. Lindsey was at the Park Mammoth Golf Course in Park City for the annual South Warren Lady Spartan Invitational.
Lindsey finished her day with a round of 9-over par 79. She shot a 5-over 40 on the front nine and then trimmed a shot off that score with a 4-over 39 on the back nine.
She had two birdies and 11 pars during her round.
Lindsey’s score of 79 tied her for 14th place with Elsie Espinola, of South Warren.
Ballard Memorial’s Madison Glisson took medalist honors for the event with a 1-under par 69. That placed her two shots in front of Breckinridge County’s Adelynn Moorman, who finished with a round of 71.
Bowling Green won the team competition with a score of 327. Host South Warren was second with a 336.
