Trigg County Primary Prepared For 2024-25 Open House

Like the rest of the district, Trigg County Primary Schools officials are ramping up summer activities and planning — just in time for the start of the 2024-25 academic year August 13.

As such, Principal Lindsey Kinslow said most families should have already heard about Thursday’s Open House — which is scheduled for 3-6 PM by appointment only.

All students, primary or intermediate, will begin their evening in the Elementary Gym, where families can get car tags and have questions answered about registration, the cafeteria or other concerns, before meeting with their respective teachers.

Furthermore, she said families can also get to know their bus drivers.

Because of everything available, Kinslow is advising families to arrive 10 minutes early before their classroom appointment.

Speaking of teachers, and administrators, she noted her staff isn’t massively changed from last year.

Looking to offer tips and tricks, kindergarten orientation was held last week, and Kinslow said more than 100 students showed up for the opportunity.

It was also a clear indicator that the school’s population is on the rise.

She said, on average last year, car pickup was around 150 students per day, and since that’s turned into a “well-oiled machine,” no major changes are coming to that system.

Nor to any other key points in the school.

Furthermore, preschool is about to start this year, with five “loaded” classes.
