Pauline Oliver, age 84, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Monday, August 5, 2024, at Saint Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.
She was born on April 5, 1940, in Elkton, Kentucky, to the late Granville and Ora (Spurlin) Johnson.
Married to Dennis Oliver in 1958, Pauline was a devoted wife and loving mother to their daughter, Diane. Outside of the home, she worked hard to help provide for her family as a 30-year employee of Flynn Enterprises, where she was a supervisor.
Pauline was a faithful member of East Cadiz Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, fishing, and going out on the boat with her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Oliver; a brother, Virgil Johnson; and three sisters, Josephine Heflin, Janie Schutt, and Amanda Johnson.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane Bush of Cadiz; three grandchildren, Tim Bush (Chrissy), Malissa Thomas (Brock), and Trina Clinkenbeard (Nathan); and ten great-grandchildren, Tyson Bush (Hope Jones), Rylee and Reese Bush, Hunter and Jaxson Clinkenbeard, and Kynady, Benashka, Medeline, Elijah, and Yvenson Thomas.
Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main Street in Cadiz, where the family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Friday, August 9, 2024. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM, with Rev. Joe K. Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in East End Cemetery.
