The Christian County Grand Jury issued multiple indictments Friday including on charges of assault, wanton endangerment and robbery.
A true bill was returned on Jerald Buckner, of Hopkinsville, on charges of first-degree complicity to assault, two counts of possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, two counts of first-degree criminal mischief, two counts of tampering with physical evidence, and five counts of complicity to wanton endangerment.
The charges are in connection to a July 4th shooting on Plum Street in Ashwood Village that was investigated by the Christian County Sheriff’s Department.
Tyrone Cobb, of Hopkinsville, was indicted on charges of first-degree assault and second-degree assault.
Cobb is accused of stabbing two men with a knife during a fight at the Holiday Inn and Suites in June that Hopkinsville Police said severely injured both victims.
The grand jury indicted Deuntra Taylor, of Hopkinsville, on a single count of first-degree robbery after he and another man allegedly assaulted a man on East 6th Street and took his necklace. Hopkinsville Police said the man was taken to the hospital by ambulance due to his injuries.
And a true bill was returned on Andrew Carnifax, of Oak Grove, on a charge of failure to complex with the sex offender registry. The indictment alleges that Carnifax committed the offense in May by failing to notify the Kentucky Sex Offender Registry of his change of address.
