James “Mike” Blane, age 67, of Herndon, KY, passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at his home. Graveside Services will be at Powell Cemetery on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at 11:00 AM with Bro. Steve Holland officiating with burial to follow. Visitation will take place prior to the service from 10:00 AM until the service hour at 11:00 AM at Powell Cemetery. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Mike was born in Hopkinsville, KY on July 6, 1957, to the late James Adam and Joyce Dale Shemwell Blane. He was a Plumber for Sheperd and Sons Plumbing. He was a member of Rocky Ridge Baptist Church and a lifetime member of the NRA. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Karen Blane.
Survivors include his son, Jared Blane of Lafayette, KY; his daughter, Jamie Blane of Hopkinsville, KY; his grandchildren, Baeleigh, Rylie, Ava, and Blane; his sister, Vicki Ellen Barbee and husband Mike of Herndon, KY; his nephew, Adam Barbee and his wife Terri of Lafayette, KY; and his niece, Jenna Barbee Gates and her husband Bryan of St. Elmo, KY.
