Firefighters from two stations were called to the landfill on Mount Zoar-Latham Road for a fire Monday night.
Hopkinsville Fire Department Spokesman Captain Payton Rogers says they helped the employees of the Hopkinsville Solid Waste Enterprise to contain and cover the fire.
When the fire was first found it was around 200 feet wide.
