A fire in the engine compartment of a tractor-trailer led to a temporary traffic slowdown on Pennyrile Parkway Tuesday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Fire Department Spokesman Captain Payton Rogers says the fire was contained to the engine compartment and was quickly extinguished by firefighters when they arrived.
The fire cause the northbound lanes near the McLean Avenue exit to have a temporary slowdown as the fire was extinguished.
No one was injured in the fire.
