A report of a disturbance on Lafayette Street in Cadiz led to charges for a man and woman Tuesday afternoon.

Cadiz Police say 20-year-old Landen Finley went to his grandmother’s apartment, threatened to cut her throat, and took her phone when she tried to call law enforcement.

Trigg County Sheriff Aaron Acree says he responded to the disturbance as well and stopped 20-year-old Brittany Davidson in the area.

Acree could reportedly smell the odor of marijuana on her and found suspected meth in her bag.

Davidson was arrested and charged with possession of meth. Finley was also arrested and charged with intimidating a participant in a legal process.
