Mary Dell Thomas, 93, Hopkinsville, passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2024, at her daughter’s house in Richmond.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 16, 2024, at Lamb Funeral Home with Pastor Bencie Rasnake officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour on Friday, August 16, 2024, at the funeral home.
A native of Cadiz, she was born on April 18, 1931, the daughter of the late Calvin Taylor and the late Belvie Taylor.
Mary was a homemaker and loved sewing and crafting as well as babysitting her grandchildren when they were small. She was a member of Chosen Stone Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Horace “Sonny” Thomas in 2002; her sons, Randy Lee Thomas in 2020; her infant son, Ronnie Dale Thomas in 1958; her son-in-law, James Eddie Graddy; her brothers, James Howard Taylor and William Curtis Taylor; her two step-fathers, Franklin Bland and Ray Boyce.
Survivors include her daughters, Judy Thomas Graddy, Richmond, KY, and Janice Thomas (Buddy) Young, Hopkinsville, KY; her grandchildren, Allyson (Edd) Harrison, James Brant Graddy, Richmond, KY, Jenna (Kerry) Johnson, Jordan (Bethany) Young, and Christian Thomas, all of Hopkinsville, KY; her great-grandchildren, Darby (Hugh) Paschall, Lexington, KY, Kyler Johnson and Audrey Young, both of Hopkinsville, KY; her great-great-granddaughter, Lucille Clara Paschall, Lexington, KY.
