The United Way of the Pennyrile will officially launch its latest campaign during a kickoff breakfast next month, but the organization is asking for businesses and individuals to begin planning their donations now.
Campaign Director Martha Steil said this year’s theme is ‘Shine Like the Stars.’
This year’s fundraising goal is $700,000, with funds helping the partner agencies of the United Way of the Pennyrile.
The kickoff breakfast will be held Thursday, September 5th, at 7:30, at the Christian County Senior Citizens Center.
Donations can be made at pennyrileunitedway.org. The group hopes to wrap up the campaign by the end of the year, so preparations can be made for the annual dinner and distribution plans can be established.
The group previously served Caldwell County, but the United Way of the Coalfield, out of Madisonville, has since taken that responsibility.
