A home on Miranda Road in Trigg County was severely damaged in a fire Friday night.
Roaring Springs firefighters say when they arrived smoke was coming from the home and they found a fire in the attic.
The family was able to get out uninjured but one cat was killed in the fire.
Firefighters say the home was severely damaged adding no one will be able to stay in the home due to the damage.
Roaring Springs Fire Department was assisted by Trigg County EMS and South Road Fire Department.
