The Hopkinsville Rotary Club has launched a social media campaign to highlight the programs they fund because of the region’s generosity.
During Tuesday afternoon’s meeting, Rotarian Cody Noffsinger shared that the campaign’s main focus is to show transparency.
The campaign, titled ‘Our Students, Our Future,’ will feature specifics on where the funding goes.
During this year’s six-day auction effort, the club raised over $560,000. More than $82,000 was brought in from the students at schools across Christian County.
Noffsinger added with the Impact and Rotary Scholars programs, there are over $2 million in commitments that have been made.
This week’s Hopkinsville Rotary Club meeting also featured a visit from Rotary District 6710 Governor Dr. Dale Leatherman. The club serves as his home club.
During his visit, Dr. Leatherman spoke about Rotary International’s mission statement and how the work they are doing fits in. He also presented Past President Brandon Killebrew with the ‘Star Club’ designation, meaning last year, the club collectively donated over $100 per person to Rotary International.
