Gregory Darnell Poindexter, 63, Lafayette, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, in Hopkinsville.
Gregory, the son of the late Lois and Jessie Poindexter, was born on May 20, 1961, in Christian County.
Gregory joined Antioch Baptist Church at an early age which is now called New Antioch House of Praise. He was employed as a laborer with Strader Saw Mill. He enjoyed dancing, listening to music, and watching Tennessee Titans Football.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Lisa Poindexter and Eric Poindexter.
Survivors include his son, Darnell Nicholas; siblings, Terrance Poindexter, Robert (Martha) Poindexter, Janet Jackson, and Cierra Poindexter; a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at noon at Gamble Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in the Lafayette Cemetery.
Visitation will begin Thursday morning at 11:00.
